The science behind our EAA20 Serum
Skin Brightening, Once And For All
The EAA20 formula contains Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (EAA), an effective skin-brightening ingredient that evens out skin tone by preventing melanin formation at the source. This is unlike other vitamin C derivatives, such as Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate and Ascorbyl Glucoside, which depend on enzymatic activation in the body. EAA serves as a more direct and effective skin-brightening solution.
The Next-Gen Vitamin C
EAA overcomes the limitation of traditional vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid), which oxidises and loses its efficacy quickly. And when exposed to water, EAA is more stable to maintain its brightening performance without turning yellow.
Antioxidant and Collagen-Boosting Vitamin C is exceptional not only for its skin-brightening results, but also for its antioxidant ability and effective collagen synthesis. And with long-term use, it improves the skin’s health and ability to be shielded from oxidative stress and significantly enhances firmness.
Gentle pH for Reduced IrritationThe pH range of the EAA20 formula is specifically formulated to be at around 5-6, which reduces the irritation caused by the high acidity (pH 3) of traditional vitamin C formulas.
ASK OUR FORMULATOR
Q1. Why did my previous Vitamin C products turn yellow so quickly? The drawback of traditional Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) is its susceptibility to oxidation, leading to a yellow hue. Deeper color = more oxidation = lower efficacy. EAA20's brightening formula utilizes Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, a next-generation Vitamin C derivative with higher stability. It resists oxidation, preserving its effectiveness over time.
Q2. Can I use EAA20 in the morning?Yes, EAA20 is suitable for both morning and evening use. This question stems from a misconception that using Vitamin C in the morning can cause "reverse tanning." In reality, this occurs because traditional Vitamin C oxidizes quickly, especially when exposed to UV rays. When Vitamin C oxidizes, it turns into Erythrulose, a common ingredient in self-tanners, giving the skin a darker appearance. However, EAA20's brightening formula features Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (EAA), known for its high stability and resistance to oxidation. You can confidently apply it in the morning without worrying about your skin taking on a yellowish tint.
